Arrive in Conflans, at the confluence of the Oise and the Seine Rivers. In the morning, you are transferred to the famous Le Golf National Club, which is situated southwest of Paris in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, near the Palace of Versailles. Le Golf National - Aigle course
Situated near the renowned Palace of Versailles and just 25 kilometers away from the Eiffel Tower, this is a club no golf enthusiast should miss. Le Golf National is the home of the Open de France and hosted the Ryder Cup in 2018. The club was created to be the permanent home of the Open de France and was inaugurated in 1990. Its three courses were designed by golf architects Hubert Chesneau and Robert von Hagge, who transformed the initially flat landscape into one of France’s most popular and iconic golfing destinations. Le Golf National’s 18-hole Aigle course has a traditional links style feel to it and features undulating fairways, meticulously manicured greens and flowing roughs. While the course does not have many of the typical lake water hazards or bunkers, the contoured fairways can be deceptive and the course is sure to offer challenges for golfers of all handicap levels.

This morning, we reach Rouen, often called the “Ville Musée” (Museum Town) because of the many art, history, and antiquities museums scattered across the city. This morning, join a walking tour of the capital of the Normandy region and visit the cathedral that inspired Claude Monet, and the modern Church of Joan of Arc with its magnificent 16th-century stained-glass windows.
This afternoon, explore the countryside with a visit to Domaine Duclos Fougeray – a Norman farmhouse where you can learn about the local apple culture and the sheep herding tradition.
Alternatively, you can take part in an optional trip to the Champ de Bataille Golf Club, which is located in exceptional natural surroundings on the grounds of a 17th century castle. This optional trip can be booked until 1 month before departure.
Champ de Bataille Golf Club (optional)
Located on the grounds of the Château du Champ de Bataille, a castle in Upper Normandy in France, this woodland championship course is set in an exceptional natural and historical environment. It was designed in 1990 by the American architect Robin Nelson and the French landscape gardener Thierry Huau, who was responsible for ensuring that the natural beauty of the area was retained. Ranked among the top 25 finest golf courses in France, the Champ de Bataille course stretches across 370 acres of historic forest and parkland. The course was designed to follow the natural valleys and water hazards of the estate, featuring centuries-old trees, lakes and impressive clusters of rhododendrons. The narrow woodland course and the natural water hazards require skill and concentration, offering golfers plenty of technical challenges. The natural beauty of the course may also challenge golfers’ concentration, particularly in spring when the rhododendrons are in full bloom!

Le Havre lies at the mouth of the Seine in the English Channel and is the second largest port in France. In the morning, start your trip to Golf d’Étretat, a breathtaking golfing destination. Set above the cliffs of Étretat with a spectacular view of the English Channel, the magnificent, wave-cut arches of the famous cliffs and the charming village below, the Étretat Golf Club is over 100 years old and is considered one of the best French seaside golf courses.
Étretat Golf Club
The club, which is over 100 years old, was founded in 1908 by Englishmen. The first president was Bernard Forbes, 8th Earl of Granard. The original 13-hole course was designed by Julien Chantepie and Arnaud Massy (the only Frenchman to have won the Open). The club closed during WWII, but reopened in 1949, after the landmines had been cleared out. Didier Fruchet revised the layout in the 1990s and today the resort extends over 6,000 meters. The 18-hole course will test every facet of players’ games, particularly with the exciting sequence of holes at the back nine, between the 10th and the 14th, where the fairways run along the cliff edge.

Your floating hotel departs Le Havre in the night and arrives in Caudebec-en-Caux in the morning. This day offers an excursion to the Barrière de Deauville Golf Club, about one hour away from Caudebec-en-Caux by coach. Barrière de Deauville Golf Club
Situated on the heights of Mont Canisy, just outside Deauville, the Barrière de Deauville Golf Club opened in 1929 and is considered one of the most beautiful golf courses in France. Its three 9-hole courses, with a mix of tree-lined and open parkland holes, stretching across rolling terrain, were designed by architects Tom Simpson and Henry Cotton. This is a genuine championship course which has hosted the French Open, the Ebel Match Play and the Air France Madame, as well as players such as Gary Player, Tony Jacklin and Peter Fowler. It offers stunning views of the sea and the surrounding Normandy countryside, while presenting technical challenges that will test even experienced players, particularly on Cotton’s Bleu course, with par 36, which is characterized by its green speed and many bunkers. Simpson’s 9-hole Rouge course fits well with the 9-hole Blanc course, as well as the additional Bleu course. From the Blanc course, usually played as the backnine of the 18, golfers can enjoy stunning views over Deauville.
